A plane landing at the TTR generally comes in from TPH. The filed flight plans for the B73Q planes verify this: LAS.MCCRN2.BTY.J92.LIDAT..TPH206010..TPH..TNX/0035 LAS.MCCRN2.BTY..BTY060022..TNX/0030 Actually, that is probably a Groom Lake flight. Anyway, if they crashed 7 miles out, that would have put the crash site in plain view of anyone who hiked Brainwash. The location would be at the east edge of the base. I just find it hard to believe nobody bothered to hike Brainwash and check it out. Which makes you wonder if the crash was near Groom instead.
