Seems that way, i Googled it and it was in the news today. Carrier aircraft do take a lot more punishment than land based aircraft but time does catch up eventually. A few more years and the mighty Tomcat will be relegated to history. Ah well, i think we can't be too upset, its navy career has been a distinguised one, unlike the Cutlass for instance.
