OK, OldThudMan,

That is the same airstrip I was looking at last night and this morning. Here is where it gets weird. Last night I was looking at it at 8-meter resolution BW, on the terraserver.com site. I thought I saved the image, but aparrently did not.

This morning, I tried again, but got a "white hole" in that area. I went to terraserver.microsoft.com, and was able to view it, but no closer than 16-meter. It also had that "tint". That's where I got the coordinates I posted earlier.

So now, I find it can't be viewed there, anymore either....
I went to globexplorer. com, and entered the coordinates.
The Lon was right, but the LAT put me several miles to the north. The correct coodinates should be (as of ten minutes ago;)....LAT 37.40898 Lon 116.23612

It's in the Kawich Valley Just south of "Sun Down Reservoir", and the runway butts right up against the hills at the western edge of the valley.
