The contractor that built the Watertown airstrip facility at Groom Lake in 1955 was Holmes and Narver, Inc. (H&N). They served as architect-engineer for the Nevada Test Site (see "Continental Atomic Tests: Background Information for Observers" published by the Atomic Energy Commission in 1957)and the Pacific Proving Ground. Numerous documents regarding H&N are available in the Department of Energy Public Reading Facility in Las Vegas. Also note that the 1959 aerial photo series of Groom Lake and Watertown has "H&N" printed along the edge of the pictures.
