If I'm standing on public land, the 'safe' side of a gated (Rachel back gate / Cedar Ranch) or non-gated (the end of Groom Lake Road) entry to Area 51, just how secure am I in my rights to take photographs or shoot video? Do I need to hold the camera discretely at my side and 'shoot from the hip' or can I place it to my eye and frame my shots without fear of having my equipment confiscated?
