The long wing span with running lights on doesn't give it a cessna configuration. If you were in a car and this thing flew 500 feet overhead with lights on it easily could have that "cigar" shape of so many of the UFO sitings. Also,I doubt if you would hear anything more than a light flutter--if that--as it went over. If you heard no sound or just a light woosh or flutter from the YO (we are talking early 70's) it would probably be a startling event. Use your imagination and put 2 and 2 together--UFO.
