Yes - as I said - the movie reminded me of this - I didn`t take it for real. But I am not convinced at all that the president knows everything. I think that is even not necessary or possible - he has so much to do that it would be far too much to know everything.
But you are right - that was a bit off topic - of course the president would necessarily hold a clearance that provides him acces to any information that he needs to know - which leads me back to my first post - How much is that...
