This puts the crash very close to the Meadow Valley Wash, about 13.5 miles SW of Carp. This is the nasty part of the road where you get to drive right next to the railroad track and right on the railroad bed. My last adventure there cost me $250 for a hotel stay and air freighting in a new tire, so maybe I won't hunt this site down. Then again, it wasn't as bad as Tom Mahood sinking the truck, though the off-road adventure through the Moapa Indian Reservation is also something I hope never to do again. [Good think I carry a tri-fold shovel.] Come to think of it, I also damaged another tire on that trip, getting some strange metal spike in the tire, though it was repairable. If you chase this crash, bring company. The hike from the road should be a mile or two to the west.

I included the notam for the fire, but it is unrelated to the crash. It is located about 38 miles south east of the crash.
