If you get here in the 2nd half of August, you will almost certainly run into some of our regulars at the Little A'Le'Inn, who are there for the Red Flag exercises. Either way, a stop for an Alien Burger at the Inn should be on your list.

If you have the time, and a 4WD vehicle, take a drive up to the Powerlines Overlook. From there you have a spectacular view over Tikaboo Valley, and the Area 51 airspace.

If you are heading north from Rachel, you may want to visit TTR. You can drive up to the main gate, or check out one of several view spots.

There are also several ghost towns and old mines in the area. Check out the "Nearby Places" section of the official Rachel, NV home page (attached link).
