"aero-capture", or as most physicist's studying astrodynamics refer to as "aero-breaking". A good prediction of the atmospheric thermal structure in the 120km altitude range is taking an increasing importance since it appears that aero-breaking will be systematically used for future missions to Mars. Not anything really new, Dawg.
