U-2 Bicycle Landing Gear

I noticed that the U-2 has (or maybe had) a two-wheeled landing gear (the early ones did for sure, I don't know much about the newer ones). This plane has little supports on the wingtips with wheels to keep the fueled wings from dragging on the runway during takeoff, which can be jettisoned after getting up in the air.

How does this plane land? If those supports on the wings are jettisoned, how does a plane land on two wheels (one front and one back) and stay upright?

I'm having trouble picturing this. In my mind, I'm thinking of what happens to a motorcycle when you stop.
