Anyone go out to the base area (Tikaboo or even just along one of the roads) during the new moon phase? I was thinking of doing it just for fun. I'm not expecting to see anything special - just seeing a blinking light in the sky or hearing a strange jet and thinking that it may be the next big thing to maintain our domination of the skies is pretty exciting! Wouldn't it be a little, or rather extremely dangerous to test unknown aircraft in the dead of night with no light whatsoever? If you read any of the stories about the early days of the U-2, SR-71, or F-117 testing, they were done in the daytime (at least that's what the stories say!)
