I have read the history of your fathers exploits and was very impressed by his flying and test record. If it is a concellation I do not think anyone could have done more than your father did on his last flight. To be able to even stabilise the X-15 after that dramatic a departure from controlled flight speaks volumes of his capabilities as a pilot and as a man. You must be very proud of him, as you should be.
