N404PA has been at Hanscom AFB for years. It's mission was seldom, if ever, defined. It has a modified forward fuselage and no passenger windows. It was here at Nellis for the 2002 JEFX and flew on four missions. It was also here for part of a week earlier in 2002.

N404PA is currently used in as a testbed for a command and control aircraft to be fielded in the future. The 707 is also known as Paul Revere. It is scheduled to take part in JEFX 2004 which begins near the end of July. There is an article in the April 26th issue of AvWeek focusing on the JEFX. There is also a picture of of 404PA. I am sure it came to Nellis today for some preliminary work for the exercise.

The JEFX is tough to plan on for the sake of photography. Not everyday is a flying day. There were, however, some other very interesting aircraft in the 2002 exercise.

The Nellis PAO had almost nothing to do with 2002. All media info was handled by ACC at Langley.
