Good way to get things going!

I listen to the Art Bell Sow because I am an insomniac and I
need something to yell at from Midnight until 5am.

OK! I do not have a Doctoral degree called a PHD (PHUD!!!)
OK! I do not have an MS!
OK! I do not have a BS (Bachelor of Science) not the other!
I do have an AS in Physical Science with education to at
least an MS!

I have 5 years working for the USAF Security Service with
lots of education in class and out of class.
We were one of the military arms of the NSA/CSS (NSG & ASA
were the other two)!

I was electronic maintenance and had to know how the
equipment was used so I spent alot of time with the ops.
Of course, I was also nosey!
The ELINT ops would spend time talking to me since I had a
firm foundation in SIGINT & ELINT!

One of my fortes was in the analysis of signals.
As just one example, we flew missions on the RC-135 Combat
Sent A/C out of Alaska over the pole into the Kara Sea.
Raven 3 and I were sitting chatting and "spinning &
grinning" when we came across a signal that looked and
sounded very strange. We put it on the oscilloscope and the
signal was doing some strange dancing. It had an AM & FM
component and there were subtile phase changes. We tracked
this signal and took pictures on the TEK 555 o'scope. Every
time we went into that area, this signal would come up. We
were paced by some SU-7's that day and we got some great
pics of them.

The next day we went back into the same area and again that
signal popped up. Raven 3 said that NSA had decided that
they wanted to know more about it. His ops was interested in
it also.

We pinned down the center freq that day and we determined
the signal strength. We determined the bandwidth and
narrowed down the cycling of the FM and AM components.

We had fun for that month that we were flying up there. We
finally got the word that this was a special doppler system
that could look over the horizon.

There are many other signal analysis that I could describe,
but let me assure everyone that "Chicken Little" can head
back into the hen house and do something alot more
interesting.

The signal on 3.39MHz was very likely being used by FEMA
(shades of X-Files conspiracy) to communicate with the
Nightwatch A/C E-4B. This was also very likely by the tones
and rushing noises ANDVT! This is a standard secure
voice/data system.

The FEMA Channels are listed on my Milcom2000 web site.

You will notice that there are two freqs close to the
3.39MHz.
