Red Hat flew a former east german MIG - 29 in the early nineties , it was returned to the german airforce a few years ago , it has a icon on it chasis painted that it was in area 51 ( well it doesnt say area 51 litteraly , but somethign sort alike ) . they also have 3 Bellorussian SU 27 they bought from them . Next to that they have one MI 24 hind that they got from iraq in the first gulf war , is used as agressor . ALot of stuff from the former east german army was given to the USa , radar equipment , surface to air missiles , helicopters , name it . i would love to know more details also , liek what they look like now , and where the old MIG 23s are at now .
