That is not the best scanner for Red Flag as it can not receive military air frequencies in the 225.000 to 400.000 range. These are the freqs most used by the aircraft that participate in Red Flag.I am happy with a Pro-26 that I bought off of Ebay a couple years ago. I paid $135.00 for it used and it is a 200 channel continuous 25MHz to 1.3 GHz coverage. Not sure what Radio Shack offers these days with the MilAir freqs but Iam sure that it would have to be a continuous coverage model.You may want to try www.grove-ent.com if you are interested in buying new.Iam sure that a Google search will turn up way more pages than anyone would want to deal with.
