In the big picture, paying your taxes has no bearing on this. You're expected to pay your taxes because it's the law, and if you decide not to do so, the IRS comes after you. That's the sadn and simple truth. Let this kid (Dave) take his soapbox sportscar past the border onto restricted land and then when he's caught maybe that "I pay my taxes" routine will work with the authorities. Bottom line, White Sides and Freedom Ridge are no longer open to public access because the government saw fit that the land was needed for the means of national security, pissing off the citizens isn't something that's considered. If they want the land, your hard feelings mean nothing.
