Be aware that the Air Force has recently been "testing" a new paint scheme on some F-117 aircraft...that being the drab, low visibility look that we see on many of the other front line fighters today (F-16). The rationale is that since not all of the F-117 missions are night missions these days, perhaps we should make them harder to see in the daylight. I am not saying that what you saw was one of those repainted aircraft, however it did bring that to mind.
