G'day Andreas, Thats helpful information and I've realised I made a bit of a boo-boo in the AWST 'industry outlook' its actually May 14 2001, not 2000 as I said before.(sorry). I invite you all to look it up and see for themselves on the sparse detail on the YF-113G AWST relays and find the 'scaled up' F-117' concept quite plausible. I too discount the Mig-23 as a possibility and of all the different thoughts on the subjects on what exactly the YF-113G actually is, the scaled up F-117 makes as much sense as any possibility. Question: Does the designation in the 110-117 range indicate a strike role'?. So does YF-113G mean a strike role as well or am I going out a little too far?. cheers mate,
I'm thinking F-110 for the F-4 fighter/bomber,
F-111 which is clearly a strike jet (as our RAAF will attest being the sole operator these days) and F-117 which is intended for strike.
Will.
