Years ago when movies made phophetic fun of multi-national companies being more economically sound and powerful than nation states, we had no idea in our lifetime that life would imitate art. The payoffs the corporate officers get through various means puts them in a category far beyond the laws and scope of mere working mortals. Yes, follow the money would be the key, but even the government can't ascertain the final destination of some of it. I think for our group to seriously approach the backtracking of funding, the people that would have the most to lose would take unfriendly notice. Even the more reason to go ahead. If Clinton can claim confusion about which set of dishes he should have taken from the White House, and that pardoning Mr. Rich was justifiable under the law, we should have plenty of leeway to probe taxdollar flowpaths.
