According to Orbat.com, San Diego Union Tribune reports US DARPA has started work on a Mach 8 bomber with a 12-ton bomb load and 20,000 miles range, permitting worldwide missions with US basing. IOC is planned for 2025. Meanwhile, a Mach 25 UAV version with a 1000 lb payload is to be deployed around 2010, providing the capability for the UAV to arrive over target anywhere in the world within 60-minutes of launch.
