I've been interested in RAF Macrihanish for some time, especially since NATO poured big money into it. Its got the longest runway in Europe (3,049 metres). Not much of a secret base anymore - it is on RAF "care and maintenance" status - and is now a civilian airport (Campbeltown), you can fly there scheduled from Glasgow, and they sell Avgas if you want to fly there yourself. There is also a wind turbine factory on site. Its closed at weekends, so perhaps that's when the interesting flights occur...
