Above you can see Dryden Research Centre of NASA which is the Top Facility in this photo.
The facility at the bottom is part of Edwards AFB South.
Clearly shown is the Compas Rose on the Lake Bed and the marked runways.
The Boeing 747 Shuttle Carrier can be seen on its own ramp at the end of the 270° compass heading. Pointing 270° aswell outside its hanger.
No apparent aircraft can be seen on the ramp outside of Dryden...not even the SR71 of NASA or the B-52 mothership.

Above is an awesome image showing Edwards AFB MAIN Base showing the main runway at the bottom left of the image and the flightline ramp in the centre of the image.
The large rectangular building on the eastern side of the flightline ramp is the Benefield Anechoic Chamber, the worlds largest of its kind.
This facility can test the largest of aircraft such as the B-1B down to the smallest fighter type aircraft.

Strapped in nice and tight and looking very cool, This is da man, the man who took these fabulous images of Edwards AFB.
With Visor down so you cannot see his face, the other photo of him with the visor up(which i will not show here), certainly makes it look like he had a nice time in the F16 after pulling some G's!  You can see the Desert behind him. His pilot took him over most of the R2508 complex around the very active Isabella MOA etc.

A big thanks goes out to the author of the above photos for his kindness in letting Dreamland Resort use them. The photos are NOT to be reproduced and copied and are Copyright © to the Author.
