You might want to bring an AM radio to listen to Art Bell. I think Campfire Hill is the spot I mentioned, but I don't have my Viewers Guide handy. The problem with camping by the front gate is you are less likely to see something. This is because the base knows damn well you are there. These guys are experts at hiding stuff from the public. If you are at the front gate, it is hard to see the all of the airspace. That is why it is better to view from the ET highway (such as Coyote Summit or the gravel), but camp further in so you don't hear the trucks on the ET highway. Believe me, if they launch the mothership, you will see it from the gravel just as well as from the front gate.
