The Los Angeles chapter of The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics will have a special presentation entitled: "Web of secrecy: YF-23 Black Widow 11 Declassified" on February 21.
The presentation will include a video produced by the Western Museum of Flight under license from Northrop Grumman Corporation.
The Speaker: Stephen Smith retired in 1992 as Corporate VP and General Manager of Northrop Corporation's Aircraft Division. He held a wide range of technical and management positions during his 37 years with Northrop.
Mr. Smith received the Department of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service in 1983 for Tacit Blue stealth development leading to the B-2 and TSSAM programs. In 2000, he was elected a "Pioneer of Stealth" by the Dayton, OH, Stealth Society.
