This is the same feature that you called a taxiway. Due to its' positioning and width, and construction activity that I observed on the morning of June 26th, I have concluded that it will be used as a runway. Recent tarmac replacement and enlargement in the area where the Janets park - a short distance to the right of this runway as seen from Tikaboo would reinforce the runway theory. If this was a new taxiway, it would be angled slightly to the right instead of the left as viewed from Tikaboo. It would have been much easier to extend the existing taxiway that already runs past the "scoot and hide" hangar to Runway 32L/14R on to Runway 32R/14L if a new taxiway was needed near that location. New satellite imagery will be forthcoming here on the DLR in a couple of months that will make this issue much clearer.
