If I lived out your way, I am sure that I would be doing the same thing as you. From the Terraserver photos, the cactus strip looks quite pronounced and long..It also looked like some bomb craters around the strip in a few places. I would say that once you were on it, it would be clear to you. Alert us to any photos you post from any of these old strips. More of us than you might think are very interested in the 20th century archeology that this place seems to ooze. I am fascinated with old strips like this that were probably built during WW2 or early cold war era..What and who flew here? Why this location? How did it look during the time it was used as opposed to now? Thanks Gary,
