Well, RedOctober, we have (and never had) any intention of changing the base. LOL. The base is and continues to remain a very important part of our national defense interests.
It is operated by our hard-earned tax dollars.
Of course, that does not mean that there should not be any citizen's oversight groups on issues relevant to the base.
For this reason, we have excellent organizations such as the Federation of American Scientists, one of whose goals is to make sure that defense programs are conducted properly as they are allowed to.
I highly suggest that you look into the Federation of American Scientists website. They are great!
Thanks to the great work of Joerg, Chuck and the entire DLR Team and all the support of those active in the discussion group, the DreamlandResort site is mentioned as an important link in FAS's Groom Lake/Area 51 issues.
Mr. Steve Aftergood is a great American and has helped lots and lots of people and groups in the past in regards to the government oversight issues. A few days ago, he acknowledged to me that he did read the coverages of the recent events concerning Chuck and the issues of the sensors on public land.
