Exceptionaly good post. Updates just about everything anyone would want to know about the facility. It grieves me to learn that Tikaboo hikers are leaving such a mess behind. I wish everyone who went there had such a attitude as yours. "Pack it in and pack it out" has always been the motto of real campers. It's not too much to bag your trash (yes ALL your leavings) plus some, than leave the place a mess for future visits. From what you say about their choise of food, they don't know much about backpacking anyway. The steak sounds excellent, but NOTHING could be as good as that first canteen cup of hot coffee I had after my first night on top of Tikaboo. Once again GREAT post and keep it up.
