Both right and wrong - though, in this case, more right then wrong..

The USAF no longer uses radio codes that relate to aircraft numbers. However the Army, Navy and USMC *DO* frequently use 'tail number' radio calls.

Since the helicopter pictured displays USAF quite clearly, Spooky is obviously inciorrect in this case.. but what does a jarhead know? (*Grin*)

In all fiarness, Helicopters are not OFFICALLY the providence of the USAF. In fact, in the 'Charters' of each of the branches of the armed forces, teh United States Air Force (Which was once the United States Army Air Force, or USAAF) was given ALL fixed-wing aircraft. When the helicopter came into it's own, the USAF missed a trick, and the Army gained control of it. In fact, the USMC is the ONLY branch of the service OFFICALLY recognized to use any weapons-system ever developed, be it land, sea or air. Even the Navy Seals don't have this distintion, their 'Charter' specifying 'Light weapons' only, officially denying them air, armor and artillery...

Just trying to keep things straight...
