There are so many great 4x4 trails in the area that I would not even know where to begin. An excellent source are the USGS topo maps, which are usually fairly accurate in showing the road condition. See attached link to order online.

One of my favorites, and easily doable in any 4wd SUV, is the road leading up to the Powerlines Overlook. See under "Watching Area 51" in our "More Info" section.

The northern Tikaboo shortcut only has one short segment that requires 4wd. No problem for any 4wd SUV.
