One of the TV shows on Groom Lake showed the people entering the Janet's in civilian clothing. I have taken such photographs as well. It is also an equal opportunity employer since there are a few women getting on the Janet flights.

Just as an aside, the airplane would be warned via ATC since nobody knows the Groom Lake approach/departure or tower frequencies. At least in theory nobody knows those frequencies ... ;-) I think there is a report on the old UFO mind website about a civilian plane doing an emergency landing at Groom.

To the best of my knowledge, Groom would depend on ATC to spot intruders. The radar on Bald Mountain seems to be run only during tests at the base, not 24 and 7. Either that, or they have another radar system outside the range of my detection hardware. The TTR could also be observing the Groom airspace, perhaps at the Black Mountain site.
