The news reported they destroyed the chopper last night. The delay was caused by the difficulty in finding it.

Since they had a few hours with the chopper, I'm sure key pieces of hardware were removed (most likely the radios) and of course any paperwork they can find. Will the stuff be useful? Probably not assuming they reprogram the radio encryption.

If they got the IFF, that might be another story. However, Iraq hasn't launched a single plane thus far.
