The strange thing is the sherif was headed back towards Alamo, so why take the less direct route? There is a sign on the main gate to Tikaboo stating the you need to be authorized to enter the area. This is not true on the route past the ranger station. What is the deal with the communication site near basecamp? That road had a very old no tresspassing sign on it. In fact, I think the word tresspassing is no longer readable.
