The Osprey is not exactly universally loved. I have friends in what used to be the Air Commando's 55th - that has since been disbanded. They had to give up their useful and well-proven Pave and Night Hawks to make way for the Osprey. Not happy campers. Very good and successful pilots too. Now the 160th SOAR and reserve units like the Navy's HCS-4 do SpecOps work. But not AF unit has a specific task for SpecOps that doesn't have it as a CSAR subspecialty. Hey, maybe the Osprey will work the bugs out, stop killing crews, and will give SpecOps a new dimension. Hope so.
