A charter flies out of NAS Pt Mugu to Las Vegas.
NAS Pt Mugu is homebase to VX-9 , a Navy testing squadron. In the late 60's (old VX-4), their pilots went sometimes to Groom Lake to fly the Migs ('17 and '21). You can read it all in Scream of Eagles , from Robert Wilcox.
Nowadays, they may partipate is some testing in the Nellis range. Either for weaponry, or new aircraft. They may still fly some foreign aircraft (Mig-29 or whatever) at Groom Lake.
