The Hind is often used in the wargames. It is operated by a private contractor that provides "threats" to make the wargame more realistic. Other threats include scud missiles and launchers, Soviet missiles, launchers, mobile radars, and jamming systems. Some of these other items can be seen just inside Area 51's north (back) gate where they are semi-permanently deployed.
