Newly discovered Comet Kudo-Fujikawa is just now brightening to naked-eye and binocular visibility from dark-sky sites such as Rachel. The comet is in the pre-dawn sky and is currently located in the constellation Hercules. It will brighten quickly and is predicted to reach maximum brightness on the morning of January 29th. It appears that this comet might even be more spectacular than Hale-Bopp.
