Nellis aircraft collide
One pilot is safe and another is missing after the mid-air collision of two Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft this afternoon about 100 miles north of Las Vegas. The unidentified pilot ejected from his plane and was found in good condition by search and rescue crews in the desert. Crews are searching for the second pilot.

Both single-seat aircraft are assigned to Nellis Air Force Base. The two were flying in training exercises at the Nellis Test Range when the collision occurred.
