I've never heard of an engine being prevented from starting for a period of time, but there have been a few occasions where headlights would repeatedly flick between high beam and low beam on vehicles driving in the Tikaboo Valley. Also, a few years ago, on two consecutive days, a friend's electronic (solenoid) engage 4WD pickup would not go into 4WD until we left the Tikaboo Valley, then it worked fine! Perhaps they're testing a more powerful EMP device now?
