I think the initial part of the wash would be difficult to drive, but once it widens up, a jeep could handle it. I wonder how the USAF got the debris through the narrow parts of the wash to reach the road they cut.

I've walked the wash about a mile from Meadow Valley Wash, but haven't actually hiked in from the railroad tracks. I have a waypoint for where it should end up near the tracks. It is possible that hiking in from that direction would let you encounter where the canopy was recovered. And of course, you might stumble upon the camera....
