I had trouble making out the strip, even though I'd seen it on the aerial photos; very overgrown. But I did notice a graded area just south-southeast of the mine(s). Seemed fairly recent when I was there in 2000. Any further recent activity at the mine?

BTW, 2500 feet isn't to short. I first learned on a strip (concrete) that was 2500 by 28 with a power line a quarter mile from one end. A real challlenge. :-)
