Yes. This strip IS on public land. Looks like it might be easy to find...but maybe not. Because it's so old you might walk right over it and not know it...look for stuff like riffle casings...for clues Here is some directions to the area.... 1) Go to http://terraserver.microsoft.com/image.asp?S=15&T=2&X=90&Y=652&Z=11&W=2 and check out that topo map...then check into buying a topo of the area from USGS..makes things easyer and is a must for being out in the desert. 2) Check out http://www.desertsecrets.com/reveille.html that will tell you how to get to the Cedar Pipeline Ranch and where to go from there. You won't use all the instructions...I would just get to the dry river/wash bed and start following the northwest side of the washout/river. Start looking for stuff...or color/texture changes...the strip seems to be pretty close to the washout... by looking at the link posted earlyer http://www.terraserver.com/image.asp?S=13&T=100&X=70&Y=31&Z=1380&W=1 you can see it would be off to the northwest a bit...so that might require you to adventure away from the washout and road. Good luck...take pictures etc...let us know what you find if you go out there.
