Feds to Move Nuclear Material From Los Alamos to Site Near Yucca Mountain

This is a somewhat misleading article since the nuke material is going to the NTS, not YMP, but you need to make headlines somehow, right? What is interesting is this line:

Several tons of weapons-grade plutonium and highly enriched uranium-enough nuclear material to potentially destroy a sizable chunk of the southwest United States and wreak more havoc downwind-will be moved from the cave-hidden Technical Area 18 at the Las Alamos Laboratory in New Mexico over the next three years, according to internal documents obtained by the Voice.

If you have been to Bandolier National Park near Los Alamos, you pass many of the "technical areas", but no clue is given as to the nature of the area. Now if you see Technical Area 18, you know there is a plutonium storage cave within. Some technical areas have warning signs regarding explosives.
