In the second paragraph of my previous post I'm referring to the A-12 LZ. I thought I'd been there but never found anything except flare canisters.

From Tom's story, (I have it printed out for quick reference :)) the picture is a crash site but he couldn't tell what type of plane it was, except it was very old and was not an A-12.
