Hi!
OF COURSE the pic is a hoax! The story is on this site: It had been put together to illustrate what Chris Gibson claimed to have seen over the North Sea in 1989. Later on someone claimed it was a REAL photograph. Still: Gibson said he'd seen a large triangle escorted by F-111s... so either he's lying or Magoo is wrong about the likeliness of F-111s being used as chase planes. Maybe they were the only US long-range AC available in the UK at that time?!?
