I believe that your right about providers being the difference. From Alamo to the mailbox mine is ok, after that very sporadic. I seem to have enough bars to connect but it doesnt happen. I have Worldcom Wireless (MCI). Has anyone talked to anyone with a hand held ham radio up there? Their may be ham repeaters in the valley if so they would be more reliable than cell phones in an emergency.
