I was at the powerlines Thursday night and watched a night training exercise. This exercise was run on 278.2 and took place over Hiko, or perhaps the dry lake near Hiko. [Probably the Rachel crowd couldn't even see it.] Even though the planes were pretty high (17k if I recall correctly), you could see them cross the night sky.

Earlier in the day a F16 (black or dark grey) went by me in the area near Mount Irish. Nice low and slow. Too bad the camera was set up for a telephoto shot.
