Unless this is some sort of folded optics, you'll have to strap that beast to your back. Remember, if it really is 1200mm, then it over 3 feet long! If it is folded optics, I suspect the performance will not be very good. The problem is the mirror puts a large "hole" in the lens aperture, leading to a loss of sharpness. You can search the net for "dawes limit" to understand how the size of the lens (aperture) effects sharpness.
